This autumn half-term, families in Hillsborough, Upperthorpe, Stannington and Stocksbridge can access a fantastic range of free activities through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

From football and multi-sports sessions to creative workshops, cooking activities and community events, HAF offers opportunities for young people to stay active, learn new skills, make friends and have fun throughout the school holidays.

One of the highlights this half-term is the SWFC HAF Camp, delivered by Sheffield Wednesday Football Club's community team. The camp gives young people the chance to take part in a variety of sporting activities in a fun, inclusive environment, helping them build confidence, develop teamwork skills and stay active over the break.

There are also a range of other exciting opportunities available, including martial arts sessions, which provide a great way for young people to improve their fitness, develop discipline and learn new techniques in a supportive setting.

What is HAF?

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides free holiday activities and nutritious meals for children and young people receiving targeted free school meals. It helps young people stay active, try new experiences, develop new skills and make lasting memories during the school holidays.

Families can explore hundreds of activities taking place across the city through Sheffield Healthy Holidays, with something to suit a wide range of interests and age groups.
