Forge Valley students excel in maths and achieve strong GCSE results across the board

Students and staff are celebrating another year of strong GCSE results. The achievements reflect students’ hard work, ambition and the dedicated support they receive from staff and the wider school community.

This year, over 55% of students achieved grade 5 and above in both English and mathematics, significantly above both national and local averages. We also saw particular success in mathematics, where almost 30% of students were awarded a grade 7 or higher.

We are proud that many of our Year 11 students will continue their post-16 study at Forge Valley Sixth Form, building on the solid foundations of their GCSE success.

Dale Barrowclough, Executive Headteacher at Forge Valley School said:

"Students should be extremely proud of their achievements, which are a testament to their hard work and determination. We are thrilled that so many will continue their educational journey with us in Forge Valley Sixth Form.

“As a school committed to making a real difference, we extend our sincere thanks to all our staff whose dedication has made this success possible."
