The Role: Cleaner(s)

Forge Valley School is looking to appoint a number of Cleaners who will provide a high quality and comprehensive cleaning service to the school site, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning, buffing and dusting.

Salary Range	£23,656 pro-rata
Hours of Work	15 hours per week for 41 weeks per year
Responsible To	Facilities Manager
Responsibile For	N/A

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Skills and Knowledge	Experience of cleaning in a professional/work environment Use of buffing and vacuuming equipment
Qualifications and Experience	Not essential, willing to undergo appropriate training
Personal Qualities	Flexible Methodical Practical Capable of moderate physical activity, i.e. use of buffing and vacuuming equipment Able to apply Health & Safety Procedures Capable and willing to work on own initiative
Work Related Circumstances (including working conditions	Ability to understand and comply with work instructions (written and verbal) Methodical approach to cleaning Ability to follow Manufacturers’ instructions about cleaning chemical usage

Fluency Duty: The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and pupils, and provide advice in spoken English, is essential for this post.
