Our Year 9 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 22nd January between 3.30pm – 6.00pm. It is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to meet with all of your child’s teachers to discuss their progress and consider the next steps in supporting your child in being successful in school. The intention behind the timing of this event is also to support children in making informed choices on their Key Stage 4 subjects.

This event shall be hosted in school and be in the form of face-to-face parent appointments.

We are continuing to use ‘School Cloud’ to allow parents and carers to book appointments with teachers more efficiently. This allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers and you will receive an email confirming your appointments.

There is an opportunity to raise any questions with teachers in advance, by submitting them into School Cloud whilst making your appointments online. This may help you in getting the information that you require within the 5-minute appointment timeframe.

Appointments can be made from Monday 12th January at 5pm and the booking system will close on Thursday 22nd January at midday.

Key Stage 4 Pathways Information Evening – Wednesday 28th January 2026

During the evening, I will explain the pathways process including information about courses available for Key Stage 4 study and different routes into post-16 education.

To allow all families to attend that wish to, please may you attend at the allocated time below in accordance with your child’s tutor group:

4.15pm Forms 9AWR, 9BSH, 9JAT

5.00pm Forms 9JHA, 9LB, 9NHI

5.45pm Forms 9SWS, 9TW, 9ZM

To ensure capacity within the Lecture Theatre please try to stick to the suggested times, although I appreciate that some families may have other commitments so need to attend at a different time to that allocated.

Pathway choice forms and further information booklets shall be sent to pupils via email and pupils will be required to complete an online Microsoft Form by Monday 9th February 2026. There will be support for pupils in completing this. Pupils shall receive details of all available subjects in assemblies, lessons, and during tutor time in the forthcoming weeks.
