This is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to meet with all of your child’s teachers to discuss their progress in exam subjects and consider the next steps in supporting your child in being successful in school.

During the evening, we will also be running three Year 11 parent information sessions in the lecture theatre, which will provide parents with key information about the year ahead. These will be led by John Watson, Head of School, and Helen Smith, Executive Deputy Headteacher, and will run at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. All parents are invited to attend a suitable slot which does not clash with their parents’ evening appointments.

Year 11 pupil reports will be shared via the MCAS App on Tuesday 11^th November following a mock results event that will be held in school on Monday 10^th November. In addition, pupils will be receiving a printed copy to discuss with their form tutor and also to take home and share with their family. I hope that these reports, combined with parents’ evening conversations and the parent information sessions, will provide the impetus and support required for academic success and progress in the coming weeks and months.

Year 11 Parents’ Evening will be hosted in school and be in the form of face-to-face parent appointments. We are continuing to use ‘School Cloud’ to allow parents and carers to book appointments with teachers more efficiently. This allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers and you will receive an email confirming your appointments.

There is an opportunity to raise any questions with teachers in advance, by submitting them into School Cloud whilst making your appointments online. This may help you in getting the information that you require within the 5-minute appointment timeframe.

Appointments can be made from Monday 10^th November at 5pm and the booking system will close on Thursday 20^th November at midday.

Please note that appointments for English Language shall encompass discussion on both English Language and English Literature. Regarding pupils studying Triple Science, please may families book into the Physics class only. During this meeting all strands of Science shall be discussed.
