In small doses, anger is an appropriate, normal, and healthy emotion. Everyone experiences anger. It helps us stand up for ourselves when we’ve been wronged, and protect ourselves and our own needs. However, in many circumstances, anger can have unwanted consequences.
Anger can become a problem, you will learn about how anger can negatively impact physical and emotional health, school or work performance, relationships, and learn some skills to help you manage your anger.
Some of these skills can help to prevent or minimize explosive anger, such as triggers and warning signs. Other skills are intended to take control of anger, such as diversions, time-outs, and deep breathing.
