We will support and guide you, both academically and pastorally, in building your confidence and to develop as an individual. As well as the informal support and guidance that happens on a day to day basis, we designate time to activities and opportunities that seek to enable you to make wise decisions, discuss career plans, assess you own progress and seek help if problems arise.

16 to 19 Tuition Fund

The Government has introduced the 16 to 19 tuition fund which is a £96 million one-off funding for the 2020 to 2021 academic year only. It is ring fenced funding for schools, colleges and all other 16 to 19 providers to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19). Our share of this funding in 2021-22 is £7078.

Careful consideration of the individual needs of the students has been considered when prioritising support, including disadvantage/SEN/EAL/SEMH.

The funding is being used to support students that did not achieve a grade 4 and above in their GCSE Maths or English in November 2021 along with students that had disrupted learning, in other subjects, due to COVID-19.

Students with an economically disadvantaged background will be prioritised for catch-up support.

Students will receive 1:1 tuition delivered by MY TUTOR (National tutoring programme) or small group support in school.
